Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information.
Last updated: July 30, 2026
GuardTies ("we," "us," or "our") operates guardties.com (the "Site") and sells a self-serve estate planning document package (the "Product"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Purchase information. When you buy the Product, our payment processor collects the information needed to complete the transaction — such as your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. We do not store your full payment card number on our own systems.
- Delivery information. We use the email address provided at checkout to send your download link and any related order communications.
- Communications. If you email us directly (for example, at support@guardties.com), we retain that correspondence to respond to you and keep a record of the interaction.
We do not currently use advertising trackers or sell visitor data to third parties. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
2. How We Use Information
- To process your purchase and deliver your documents
- To respond to support, refund, or privacy requests
- To send order-related communications (for example, your download link or a refund confirmation)
- To maintain records required for accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes
We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your consent, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. Payment Processing
Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. That processor's own privacy policy and security practices govern how your payment details are handled; we recommend reviewing them at checkout. GuardTies never sees or stores your full card number.
4. Cookies & Analytics
The Site does not currently set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics in the future to understand overall traffic patterns (for example, which pages are visited); if we do, we will not use it to build advertising profiles of individual visitors.
5. Data Sharing
We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate the business — for example, our payment processor and email delivery provider — and only to the extent needed for them to perform their function. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
6. Data Retention
We retain purchase and correspondence records for as long as needed to fulfill orders, respond to refund requests within the applicable window, and meet accounting and legal obligations.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To make such a request, email support@guardties.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Children's Privacy
The Product is intended for adults handling estate planning matters. The Site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
