These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to guardties.com (the "Site") and your purchase and use of the GuardTies estate planning document package (the "Product"). By purchasing or using the Product, you agree to these Terms.

1. Not Legal Advice

GuardTies provides customizable legal document templates and guidance materials. It does not provide legal advice, and using the Product does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and GuardTies or any individual associated with GuardTies. The templates are general in nature and may not address every circumstance specific to your situation. For complex estates or state-specific questions the Product does not resolve, consult a licensed attorney in your state.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract to purchase and use the Product.

3. What You Receive

Your purchase includes a digital download of the document package described on the Site at the time of purchase (currently 57 documents organized into 8 sections), delivered in editable Word and fillable PDF formats. Delivery is made available via a download link, typically within two hours of a completed purchase.

4. License to Use

Upon purchase, GuardTies grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Product for your own estate planning purposes and, where applicable, that of your immediate family. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly share the templates or guidance materials.

5. Payment

The Product is sold as a one-time purchase at the price displayed at checkout. No recurring subscription or membership is created by your purchase.

7. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for accurately completing your documents, for confirming that your completed documents satisfy your state's execution requirements (signing, witnessing, and notarization), and for keeping your completed documents safe and accessible to the people who may need them.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Product is provided "as is." While every document is professionally drafted, GuardTies does not warrant that the templates will meet your specific legal needs, that they are free of errors, or that they satisfy every requirement of every jurisdiction. Legal requirements vary by state and change over time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GuardTies' total liability arising out of your purchase or use of the Product is limited to the amount you paid for the Product. GuardTies is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the templates.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Product will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or Product after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
